 My sweet husband cubed the stuffing bread before he went to work this afternoon so I came home to it being ready for toasting! <\/em>I turned the oven on to 275 degrees and checked it occasionally while my daughter-in-love and I worked on other Thanksgiving dinner preparations. When the cubes were dry and crispy I took them out of the oven and they are all ready to become stuffing tomorrow.<\/div>\n

Thankfully we have dinner later in the day because  my son has to work <\/div>\n
so we don\u2019t have to be up at dawn to put the turkey in. <\/div>\n
Since none of us except my husband are morning people, that is probably a good thing!<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Tomorrow we will add the following to the bread cubes<\/div>\n
and bake it in a casserole dish while the turkey roasts:<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
1 pound bulk sausage (I used chicken sausage)<\/div>\n
1 large onion, diced<\/div>\n
2 stalks of celery, chopped<\/div>\n
2 large apples, peeled, cored, and chopped<\/div>\n
1\/2 chicken broth (add more to taste)<\/div>\n
1\/4 cup melted butter<\/div>\n
1 teaspoon salt<\/div>\n
Rubbed sage and poultry seasoning to taste.<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
We all love this stuffing and the leftovers rarely last very long!<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Well, we have finished the lefse (I\u2019ll blog about that soon!), the pies, and rolls<\/div>\n
–the rest will get done tomorrow!<\/div>\n
