Everything is made from scratch. <\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">But tonight I was tired and just wanted a simple supper so we had Chili Waffles.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/myheart4home.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/chili%25252520waffle%2525255B9%2525255D.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"chili waffle\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/myheart4home.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/chili%25252520waffle_thumb%2525255B6%2525255D.jpg?resize=480%2C480&#038;ssl=1\" height=\"480\" style=\"background-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;\" title=\"chili waffle\" width=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">Chili and cornbread are a favorite at our house. <\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">When we are out camping without the benefit of an oven, I have to get creative with cooking the cornbread so it becomes corn waffles. <\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">I use one of my favorite \u201cgo to\u201d Jiffy mixes to make the waffles according to the label instructions, <\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">and cook them in my cast iron Belgian Waffler for the stove top.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/myheart4home.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/cast%25252520iron%25252520waffler%2525255B10%2525255D.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"cast iron waffler\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/myheart4home.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/cast%25252520iron%25252520waffler_thumb%2525255B7%2525255D.jpg?resize=480%2C480&#038;ssl=1\" height=\"480\" style=\"background-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;\" title=\"cast iron waffler\" width=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">This waffler is one of the first tools packed when I plan meals for camping. <br \/>The first morning\u2019s breakfast is always waffles and fresh fruit. <br \/>But waffles aren\u2019t just for breakfast! <\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">Cornbread waffles make a great start for a yummy dinner when topped with chili (from a can when camping). <br \/>Everyone gets to dress them up their way with grated cheddar cheese, chopped onions, and sour cream.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/myheart4home.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/camp%25252520food%2525255B10%2525255D.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"camp food\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/myheart4home.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/camp%25252520food_thumb%2525255B11%2525255D.jpg?resize=500%2C459&#038;ssl=1\" height=\"459\" style=\"background-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;\" title=\"camp food\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">Great comfort food meal that was simple and easy! <br \/>If you don\u2019t like to use processed\/prepared mixes, this meal would not be hard to make from scratch. <br \/>Just use your favorite corn bread and chili recipes.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">Feeding your family doesn\u2019t have to be a difficult endeavor. <br \/>A little creativity and thinking outside the norm can bless them with a fun, hearty and filling meal.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">Love cooking indoors and outdoors as I share my heart for home (whether house or tent)!<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><em>Pam<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In my home kitchen, I almost never use convenience foods.
