Just before our sweet granddaughter was born, we bought a Nikon 3100 DSLR camera.<\/div>\n
I have taken a lot (thousands) of pictures since getting the camera<\/div>\n
but am just now really learning how to use all of the various settings on my camera.<\/div>\n
So today was a \u201cpractice\u201d day capturing memories with my favorite little subject.<\/div>\n

A while back I purchased a set of Moose\u2019s Cheat Cards<\/a> to help simplify learning<\/div>\n
the manual settings of my camera. If you are novice photographer like myself,<\/div>\n
I would encourage you to check them out. The fact that I could cut them into index card size<\/div>\n
and keep them in my camera bag was a big plus.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0I used the settings for \u201cKids, Pets, and Fast Action\u201d which was perfect<\/div>\n
for catching Nora enjoying the ball pit and bounce house.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
She was having great fun and I was able to capture all of the bright colors.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

I was able to take great action shots with clear focus on her sweet face.<\/div>\n
The only editing I did on these photos was cropping them.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I have taken many photos using the automatic settings on my camera and<\/div>\n
I have been happy enough with the results. I have used my photos to decorate my home.<\/div>\n
The photos above were edited, transferred to canvas<\/a>, and now hang in my entry.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
But I\u2019m excited to see how much more I can do with my camera<\/div>\n
as I learn to take higher quality photos.<\/div>\n
