This has definitely been an unplanned and unannounced break from blogging. I will be back and plan to start posting again in mid-October.
It has been a wild few months filled with moments of joy and excitement as well as exhausting and wearisome events. When the time is right, I will share how God has walked with us through this year.
I like to add photos to my posts and when I skimmed quickly through my media library I found this one of my oldest granddaughter.
We were out taking a walk last summer, and she decided she needed to stop for a short snooze. Of course, she didn’t go to sleep and it was all a part of her amazing imagination and pretend world.
To be honest, this is how I have felt and, often, functioned through the last few months. I have to daily claim the promise in Philippians 4:13 that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” because I don’t have the strength on my own. As we deal with pinpointing the issues causing my exhaustion, life doesn’t stop so neither can I.
Each morning after I have given myself a pep talk and quoted the verse above, I start humming the ditty from Santa Claus is Coming to Town to get myself ready and going for the day:
“Put one foot in front of the other, and soon you’ll be walking cross the floor,
You put one foot in front of the other, and soon you’ll be walking out the door…”
Weariness hasn’t changed my heart for home, it has just postponed some of the projects and plans that I was anticipating for a little while. I still plan to share My Heart 4 Home!
