Finally a quiet moment to relax sipping a cup of decaf (the tea hasn’t made it here yet) and nibbling a couple of delicious cookies made by our sweet neighbor (Thanks, Bonnie!).
Our first evening in our new home, and Rod chuckles when he asks how late it is and we realize that it’s just a little after eight o’clock. Our bodies are telling us that it is much later!
With each piece of furniture that is moved into place and each box that is unpacked this feels a little more like home. My heart is beginning to accept what my mind already knew. We are home and our next big adventure has begun.
Nora has already made herself at home and accepted Bumpa and Mamaw’s new house. She especially enjoyed emptying the unpacked boxes of their bubble wrap.
Ryan and Emily were a wonderful help today, and Justin and Jordan will be coming later tonight. I’m looking forward to having the whole family together for breakfast in the morning.
