Just before our sweet granddaughter was born, we bought a Nikon 3100 DSLR camera.
I have taken a lot (thousands) of pictures since getting the camera
but am just now really learning how to use all of the various settings on my camera.
So today was a “practice” day capturing memories with my favorite little subject.
A while back I purchased a set of Moose’s Cheat Cards to help simplify learning
the manual settings of my camera. If you are novice photographer like myself,
I would encourage you to check them out. The fact that I could cut them into index card size
and keep them in my camera bag was a big plus.
I used the settings for “Kids, Pets, and Fast Action” which was perfect
for catching Nora enjoying the ball pit and bounce house.
She was having great fun and I was able to capture all of the bright colors.
I was able to take great action shots with clear focus on her sweet face.
The only editing I did on these photos was cropping them.
I have taken many photos using the automatic settings on my camera and
I have been happy enough with the results. I have used my photos to decorate my home.
The photos above were edited, transferred to canvas, and now hang in my entry.
But I’m excited to see how much more I can do with my camera
as I learn to take higher quality photos.
If you have a camera, even it is the one on your phone, learn to use it.
Join me in learning how to take the best photographs that you can
when capturing the memories of your family, your friends, and your world.
would love to see your photos of what captures your heart!
I love capturing memories of my family as they are such
an important part of my heart for home!
