All around us there are boundaries and barriers to keep us safe–
like this bridge railing to keep us from plunging into the river if we get distracted when driving.
I enjoy the Bible studies at She Reads Truth. The current study is on the Sermon on the Mount.
Last week, the post Christ fulfills the law really spoke to me.
The message that jumped off the screen was that “boundaries give freedom.”
What a concept! And so true! Boundaries give us a safe space in which to operate both in the physical and the spiritual. But this doesn’t give us an excuse to never step out of our comfort zones! Often God calls us to step out of our comfort zones and self-imposed boundaries.
Does that mean we are unsafe or unprotected if we step outside the boundaries that we have erected around our hearts and lives? Definitely not!
God is calling us to step out and realize that He has set much larger boundaries for us.
Boundaries that allow us much more freedom to move and minister to Him, in Him, and through Him!
This blog, My Heart 4 Home, has been my step out of my comfort zone
and into exploring the boundaries and freedom that God wants me to move in.
He is calling me to transparency in sharing my strengths and weaknesses.
I want Him to use me to offer help and hope for women in homemaking and hospitality.
It can be scary outside my self-imposed fences of staying in the background and
living my life inside my four walls. But I am learning that I haven’t stepped beyond His boundaries of grace and protection. In fact, I am experiencing a freedom to share that I haven’t known before.
What about you? Do you live in the small confines of boundaries that you have created
to protect yourself or do you move in the wide open spaces that God provides within the boundaries
of His loving care? Will you join me in stepping out of your comfort zone into the freedom of God’s calling?
of His loving care? Will you join me in stepping out of your comfort zone into the freedom of God’s calling?
I would love to hear your story of finding freedom in the boundaries that God provides.
Enjoying freedom in the Lord to share my heart for home!
